CERTINOX is a private, third‑party stainless steel certification body founded in San José, Costa Rica. Our purpose is to give buyers, regulators, and fabricators a verifiable seal — backed by a published standard, an independent decision committee, and a transparent registry — that stainless steel components used in hygienic, structural, dairy, healthcare, and food‑processing applications meet a defined level of metallurgical and procedural rigor.

Metallurgical engineer with 27 years of professional practice in stainless steel transformation, surface treatment, and failure analysis. Recognized specialty in stainless steels and metal testing. Founder of Consultores Metalúrgicos and former founder/technical manager of Labomet (2010–2016), Costa Rica's first applied metallurgy testing laboratory of its kind.
CERTINOX operates under a methodology aligned with ISO/IEC 17065. Audits are performed by qualified technical experts. Certification decisions are made by an independent committee separate from the audit team. The Standards Committee, chaired by the Technical Director, reviews and ratifies revisions to the published standard.
CERTINOX is preparing a formal accreditation submission to the Ente Costarricense de Acreditación (ECA), the Costa Rican national accreditation body, planned for Q4 2026. Until accreditation is granted, CERTINOX certifications are issued under the published methodology and are not represented as ECA‑accredited.
